Lawyers Join Lewis Roca Business Transactions Group in Tucson
TUCSON (December 15, 2021) – Lewis Roca announced Brooke Marissa Lee Harris and Kimberly Soto have joined the firm’s Tucson office as Associates in the firm’s Business Transactions Practice Group.
Harris represents real estate developers with the development and sale of land, commmercial shopping centers, multi-family housing, hotels, and planned community associations. She has developed business entities, drafted entity agreements, and related association documents including Declarations of Conditions, Covenants, and Restrictions. Harris has also worked with merger agreements, purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, residential and commercial leases, and licensing agreements.
Harris is a member of the Pima County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and the Pima County Bar Association CLE Committee. While in law school, Harris was an Articles Editor for the Arizona Law Review. She was on the Transactional Law Meet Team and the Environmental Moot Court. Additionally, she was President of the Environmental Law Society, Vice President of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, and a representative of the Student Bar Association. Harris graduated cum laude from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law and received her Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and Political Science with a Business Minor from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Soto’s practice experience includes education, employment, mining law, and commercial litigation. She has advised school districts, employers, and mining companies on day-to-day issues and large-scale legal developments. She has also assisted mining companies with property acquisition, maintenance, development, and general business matters, including state and federal compliance issues.
While in law school, Soto served as a Constitutional Law fellow, a writing fellow, and an Articles Editor for the Arizona Law Review. She also served as a member of the Giles S. Rich Moot Court team and as a student advocate in the Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Clinic where she primarily worked on patent and trademark issues. Soto has also performed volunteer work for the Southern Arizona Legal Aid Volunteer Lawyers Program and Step Up to Justice. She received her J.D. from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law and her B.S. from the University of Arizona, College of Science.
