LAS VEGAS (November 30, 2023) – Lewis Roca is delighted to announce the election of Ogonna Brown, a partner in the Litigation and Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights practice groups, to the Board of Directors of the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada. Brown's unwavering commitment to justice and community service aligns seamlessly with the organization’s mission to provide quality legal counsel, advice, and representation for those in need.

The Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada is dedicated to preserving access to justice, empowering the underserved, and playing a crucial role in fostering fairness and equality in the legal system.

Expressing her dedication to the cause, Brown stated, "I am honored to join the Board of Directors of the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada. Access to justice is a fundamental right, and I am excited to contribute to the organization's mission of providing legal assistance to those who need it most."

With a robust background representing bankruptcy trustees and state court receivers, Brown's practice covers breach of contract, protection of creditors' rights, deficiency actions, landlord-tenant matters, enforcement of judgments, and partnership disputes. Known for her well-rounded approach, emphasizing a strong work ethic, client accessibility, and quick turnaround tailored to each case's uniqueness.

Passionate about mentoring and community service, Brown actively engages in mentoring programs at the William S. Boyd School of Law and contributes to pro bono cases through her association with the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada. She serves on the boards of Shade Tree, Goodwill of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada. In the legal community, she is a member of the Southern Nevada Association of Bankruptcy Attorneys, a fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, and the executive committee of the Howard D. McKibben American Inn of Court.

Brown received her J.D. from the William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and her B.A. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
