10:15 - 11:15 The Sexual Revolution in the Law and Implications for Freedom of Churches and Other Ministries presented by L. Martin Nussbaum The advance of sexual rights for GLBT and gender dysphoric individuals has moved with breathtaking scope and speed. Arguments to be free of discrimination have morphed into mandates for employer-provided benefits and for unlimited access to private facilities coupled with threats of “shaming” and boycott. This presentation will examine the development of this law and steps religious employers might take to conduct their ministries consistently with their values.
11:15 - 12:15 Fair Labor Standards Act Update: What Churches Need to Know in 2017 presented by Melanie Pate
This session will provide an update regarding the recent changes to the Fair Labor Standards Act's overtime regulations and the practical implications for religious institutions. The presentation will also include information about Arizona's new minimum wage and paid sick time laws.

2:15 - 3:15 The Care and Feeding of Donor Taxpayers presented by Amanda Thatcher This presentation will focus on tax-incentivized donations and what donation recipients can do to help donors receive their maximum tax deductions for charitable giving.
