DENVER (August 4, 2020) – Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie announced four partners, Jessica Fuller, Darren Lemieux, Caitlin McHugh and Jeff Sklar have been named to the Benchmark Litigation 40 & Under Hot List 2020. Benchmark Litigation is one of the most prestigious legal guides in the United States.

Fuller serves as the co-Practice Group Leader of the firm’s Litigation group and represents business, religious, and governmental entities around the country in a variety of complex litigation matters that present significant exposure. As Chair of the firm’s Class Action Group, Fuller has specific expertise in class action defense, including controlling class discovery, defeating class certification, and negotiating and ushering creative class settlements through final approval for her clients.

Lemieux handles complex, high-stakes commercial litigation matters, representing clients in business torts, contracts and partnership disputes, trade secrets, intellectual property and other commercial matters, including liquor law and franchise rights. He also advises clients in resolving disputes in pretrial mediations, arbitrations and settlement conferences, as well as handling clients’ post-trial appeals.

McHugh’s practice focuses on litigating and trying complex civil and commercial cases in state and federal court and arbitration. She advocates for her clients on diverse issues including business torts, contract disputes and secondary liability for the actions of employees or agents. McHugh leverages her deep understanding of eDiscovery trends and data management issues to streamline discovery and prepare cases for dispositive motions and trial. She has successfully tried cases on both the plaintiff and defense side resulting in multimillion dollar verdicts for her clients and secured complete defense verdicts.

Sklar has a wide-ranging litigation and appellate practice, including substantial experience in bankruptcy court. He regularly represents lenders in loan enforcement actions, businesses in commercial disputes and manufacturers in product liability cases. Sklar has handled numerous matters in the state and federal courts of Arizona, California and Nevada, serving as lead counsel on behalf of his clients. Sklar’s excellent counsel and advocacy are evidenced in his appeals in both the Arizona Court of Appeals and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
