Colleen Toomey is a project assistant/paralegal trainee in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group. Colleen joined the firm in 2000, as a legal IP assistant in the Litigation Practice Group. In 2008, she began working in the Intellectual Property Practice Group, focusing on trademarks, TTAB proceedings, and UDRP proceedings. In 2021, she received an AA and Paralegal Studies Certificate from Pasadena City College.

Colleen has extensive knowledge in domestic and foreign trademark prosecution and enforcement, and experience with TTAB and UDRP procedures. She assists lawyers in the prosecution and maintenance of client portfolios, including state, federal, and foreign trademark registrations. In addition, Colleen’s expertise includes clearing trademarks for U.S. federal registration by conducting “knock-out” searches. She is a part of the firm’s Audit Response team as California’s Audit Paralegal. She is a member of NALA and LAPA.
