Lawyer from Clark County District Attorney’s Office Joins Lewis Roca

LAS VEGAS (August 23, 2022) – Lewis Roca announced Eckley M. Keach III has joined the firm’s Litigation Practice Group as an Associate in Las Vegas.

Prior to joining the firm, Keach served as a Deputy District Attorney in the Criminal Division of the Clark County District Attorney’s Office. As Deputy District Attorney, Keach worked alongside the Southern Nevada Counter Terrorism Center and the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area task forces to prosecute domestic terrorism and high-level drug trafficking organizations. He was directly involved in the development of the Southern Nevada Overdose Response Team’s prosecution unit, which handled homicides related to drug overdose deaths.

Keach also has experience as a trial lawyer, having secured high-profile guilty verdicts and plea bargains involving homicides, robberies, attempt murder, terroristic threats, and drug trafficking. In 2021, Keach was a member of the prosecution team that successfully convicted the “Luxor Bomber” on retrial.  

In 2020, Keach was appointed by Governor Sisolak to the Nevada State Counsil for Interstate Adult Offender Supervision. In 2021, he received the Unit Meritorious award from Sherriff Joe Lombardo in connection with his prosecution of domestic terrorism in Southern Nevada, and he received the Nevada Narcotic Officers Association’s Prosecutor of the Year Award. Keach was also a recurring instructor on report-writing classes for police officers in Southern Nevada. He is a member of the Clark County Bar Association as well as the Howard D. McKibben American Inn of Court. From 2016-2018 he served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Johnnie B. Rawlinson on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

Keach received his J.D. from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law, where he served as Senior Content Editor on the Southern California Review of Law and Social Justice, his M.B.A. from the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business, and his B.A. from the University of Southern California, School of Cinematic Arts. He is licensed to practice in Nevada and Washington, D.C.
