Lewis Roca Lawyer Appointed to State Bar of Arizona Civil Practice and Procedure Committee

PHOENIX (July 27, 2020) – Lewis Roca announced litigation lawyer, Jared Sutton, has been appointed as a member of the State Bar of Arizona’s Civil Practice and Procedure Committee for a three-year term.

Sutton is a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group representing clients at the trial and appellate level in matters involving real estate, corporate, construction, general contract, insurance, and procurement disputes.

As a member of the State Bar of Arizona’s Civil Practice and Procedures Committee, Sutton will review and provide recommendations on proposals and issues involving the various rules impacting civil practice submitted by the Bar, third parties, and court-appointed committees and commissions. The Committee also authors petitions involving rule amendments and comments on third-party petitions and assists the superior court with local-rule conformance and restyling efforts.

Sutton currently serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors for the William E. Morris Institute for Justice, a legal services organization dedicated to protecting the rights of low-income Arizonans. He has been recognized as a Southwest Super Lawyers Rising Star in general litigation since 2016 and received his J.D. from Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, summa cum laude, and his B.C.J. and B.A. from New Mexico University.
