
Aurora Barnes is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group. Aurora advises clients and creates litigation strategies supported by key experience with researching and drafting a variety of motions and briefs for cases in state and federal court including:
- Dispositive motions
- Appellate briefs
- Amicus briefs
- Petitions for a writ of habeas corpus
Aurora served as a judicial intern for Magistrate Judge Kristen L. Mix in the United States District Court for the District of Colorado and previously interned under Judge Michael J. Vallejos in the 2nd Judicial District of Colorado. Aurora has researched and prepared orders on a variety of topics including, but not limited to, jury instructions, evidentiary exclusions, the validity of agency actions, federal abstention, and bad faith claims.
