Joel Henriod is managing partner of the firm's Las Vegas office and a member of the firm’s Appellate Practice Group. Joel has written or co-authored briefs in over 200 appeals and has over 30 reported decisions. He frequently argues before the Nevada Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Joel is an expert in “making the record” for appeal. He has joined over 40 trial teams to preserve appellate issues, including some of the largest matters in Nevada history, such as the cases arising from the hepatitis C outbreak among Las Vegas endoscopy clinics. He is a "go-to lawyer" for drafting and arguing mission-critical motions in limine, special jury instructions, trial briefs, and post-judgment motions, with an eye toward both persuading the trial court and perfecting issues for appeal.

Prior to law school, Joel volunteered at various orphanages in Romania and translated for American surgeons (Operation Smile) in the screening and operating rooms of the Bucharest Children’s Hospital.
