Colorado Springs: Lunch with a Lawyer - August 9, 2016

08/9/2016

Employers are frequently faced with requests from employees for accommodations based on a variety of issues.  An employee might ask for a day off for a religious observance, a different desk or chair because of a physical condition, to work from home because of an extended illness, or to be treated according to the employee’s gender identity.

How should an employer respond to such requests? What factors should an employer take into account?

Eric Kniffin will discuss the various ways in which requests for accommodations emerge in the workplace and guidelines employers may use to address these requests.

We provide the lunch; you provide the questions. This luncheon will not be a lecture, but is designed to provide you with the opportunity to ask questions about specific situations you have or might encounter.

This topic is designed for business owners and managers, nonprofit directors, church and ministry leaders, human resources managers, finance managers, and others who work in decision-making or support roles in your organization.
